Questions about proposed other proposed Tucker Automobiles

I have been an enthusiast of automobiles from the late 1930's through the early 1950's more or less from birth. In or around 1983 or 1984 I was at a local classic automobile show at a local mall, Parkway City Mall (Now Parkway Place). One individual had a number of vintage automobile advertisements, magazines pages, clippings, brouhures and complete magazines for sale.
One item that caught my eye and that I have never forgotten was an article from a magazine regarding a Tucker project that was to be the successor to the Torpedo. This article photographs of what I presume was a large scale model or a clay mockup of the car. I do not recall the year eactly, but I want to say that it was either proposed for 1951 or 1953. The date is now unclear, but scanning the brief accompanying article seemed to indicate that it was published either during or after the debacle of the investigation that would ultimately destroy Tucker.
The automobile illustrated was either deep red or maroon and it was defintely NOT the 1948 Tucker Torpedo, nor was it the Carioca that would be proposed in Brazil. The was a long and low automobile, and I seem to recall it beeing a fastback coupe, very sleek and sporty looking. I recall Alex Tremulis being referenced i the article, but do not know if he had a hand in the design.
At first I thought that it was might have been the fabled Talisman. However, illustration 37 in Phi;ip S. Egan's "Design and Destiny: the Making of the Tucker Automobile" seems to show a different car than the one that I saw.
The car had a very futuristic look for the time. In fact, in some ways it had a touch of what reminded me of European sports designs that would appear in the 1960's, only refined to earlier times and an American market.
I would have bought the clippings, but being a high school student at the time and engaged various activities, including the restoration of a car of my own at the time, even the ten or so dollars that it wa priced at was out of my reach in those days. Also, I really did not realize the rarity of what I was looking at.
I have searched the internet in hopes of uncovering the photgraphs that I saw or any information on it, but have had no luck. I know that I did not imagine or dream it, as my father recalls seeing the same clippings at the show with me that day and remarked at the time that he recalled the Tucker, but never saw one like that, even in a magazine.
Does ANYONE know anything more about this proposed automobile? What magazine it may have come from? I am interested in any information at all on it. I would love to get my hands on a picture of it an put it as wallpaper on my computer. I can only imagine the stares and questions.

The car you're describing sounds like it might be Tremulis's design for the Talisman, which is significantly different than Egan's. I have only the black and white illustration shown below, and I don't know all the details of the car, but this side profile reminds me a lot of the 1972 Buick Riviera. It is a shame that it never saw the light of day. BTW, did you know that Tucker worked for Packard for a while? (Packard also got a raw deal at the hands of the Eisenhower Administration, which directly lead to the company folding.)

Yes, That is most defintely the car that I saw the pictures of. What I find interesting is that the illustrations that I saw appeared as a monotone and this one is two-tone. As I noted, they were in color and appeared to be of a model or a clay. I suspect that this is a conceptual drawing immediately predating the one that I saw. As I recall, it was shown from at least two and I seem to recall three different angles. It was either dark red or a burgundy/maroon color in the illustrations.
Thank you so much for posting this. It does fill in a gap in my memory that I was beginning to wonder about, as nobody that I had ever spoken to about this other than my father seemed to recall ever having seen such a thing!
Now that I see it again, it seems even more advanced for the day in which it was drawn, at least a decade, and probably more ahead of its time.

You're welcome. I wonder what the magazine was that had the article, and I'd like to see the other views, since the only illustration I've seen is the one I posted.

I had seen the design for the Talisman in "Design and Destany" and while it is a beautiful car, I could never understand all the raving and swooning over it, then I saw what Alex Tremulis really designed. Stunning is an understatemate. Does anyone have anymore views of this car?
